The importance of details

This is a photo of the snow we had in beginning of January. Last week we got some degrees above zero and the snow started to melt. So the clothes and shoes that are best here right now are still wintercoats and warm boots that are suitable for walking on ice. 

This week we have started evening or afternoon studies with local school we call EMMI. (Medborgar Institutet) I take singing lessons and included in that are also guitar & piano playing.., Geographically with the music we are in America. One of the songs are from the musical Kristina från Duvemåla. The whole plot is about peple from Sweden (or Finland) who emigrated to USA or in some cases Canada. My Astrakan is one of the songs we practise. In other words the apple tree Kristina gets from her husband, who has in turn got the seeds in a letter from Sweden, mailed to him, because Kristina is longing for her her parents who still live in Sweden. Kristina and her husband must learn how to  cope in their new farmstead. and they cannot return to Sweden,  and because lack of money: They have to care for their children who are born in the USA
